No lock-in, no snooping. Cancel anytime and nothing is deleted: every device keeps its copy and keeps working. Your files are plaintext on your disk, readable with anything, and what we store for you is end-to-end encrypted, so we cannot read it.

Questions

Who pays?: The workspace's owner. Everyone else in it is free to join, and everyone counts toward the 5. A household, a small team and a company are the same product at different sizes.
What am I subscribing, a workspace or my whole account?: A workspace. Each workspace has its own people and its own subscription, so a team space and a personal space are billed separately. Your account is free; a workspace you never subscribe stays on the free tier.
What is on the free tier?: One person, 3 apps and 1 GB, synced across your devices and encrypted like everything else. Subscribing a workspace lifts all three at once.
What happens if I cancel?: Nothing is deleted. Every device keeps its copy and keeps working. For 30 days the workspace stays readable through the server while new edits wait on the device; after that it is offline on your devices until you subscribe again.
How much storage do I get?: 100 GB per paid workspace, however many people are in it. Individual files can be up to 100 MB. If you need more, get in touch; we publish the limit, not a price for exceeding it.
Can you read my data?: No. Everything is end-to-end encrypted: your files and their names are encrypted on your device before they upload, and the keys stay with you and the people you invite. Our servers store ciphertext they cannot read. One consequence to know: if you lose both your passphrase and your recovery key, we cannot recover your data for you, so keep the recovery key somewhere safe.
